Hurricanes : The Background Music

Did you know that hurricanes, aka typhoon or cyclone can be caused by global warming?

Hurricanes are powered due to heat releasing. A warmer ocean evaporates more, giving the atmosphere more water. Warmer atmosphere means more rain. And more the rain, stronger the winds that blow. Eventually, there comes the destructive hurricane.

As heat builds up in oceans, our problem grows stronger by every notch. For example: Hurricane Maria. It destroyed most of Puerto Rico. Every morning, when people woke up, all they saw was the broken mass of buildings and houses.
